Four Amazing Areas to Stay at in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is an amazing country to travel to for families. There are many cities, forests, and parks to see throughout the country, the sanitation is excellent, and you can travel from place to place in many different ways, including charter plane. If you are looking to travel to Costa Rica with your family, you might be wondering where there are good places to stay.

Afterall, you’re looking for a good experience that doesn’t come with problems like pests, dirty or no water, or simply a place to stay that’s too small for a family. You also might consider a good place to stay in order to be able to see all that you can in the short amount of time you are in the country.

With that said, here are some of the best places to stay in Costa Rica for families.

Arenal

Arenal Volcano is a phenomenal point of interest whether you are staying or visiting. Here, you have epic views of the volcano and rainforests in all their glory. Everyone that stays here has a great, relaxing time with nature all around them. Rather than buildings, you can stay at some amazing villas with rooms that take the form of eco lodges. It feels like you’re living in a network of tree houses with pools and spas right outside. This is an excellent place to recharge every day along with some truly magnificent sights to take in.

Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio can get rather crowded, but that’s because it’s one of the best areas to stay in Costa Rica. A great oceanside town with a vast rainforest, Manuel Antonio has a nice share of attractions as well as their boundless beaches. Stay here and you might not need to travel far to enjoy plenty of attractions. Manuel Antonio National Park is where you can see exotic birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Downtown is another place to consider visiting with food, shops, and historical areas.

Tamarindo

Located in Guanacaste, the largest province in Costa Rica, Tamarindo has many luxury resorts and a variety of beaches. There are many private and public golf courses where you can spend an afternoon, all that feel grand in scale with great panoramic views. You can take a bus to Santa Rosa National Park is where you can learn the culture and history of Guanacaste, with old buildings, hand-made walls, and memorials of Costa Rican heroes. And of course, there is an airport nearby where you can book a charter flight to other parts of Costa Rica, so that you can see other attractions on your list.

Tortuguero

What is special about Tortuguero is that there are no land vehicles; walking and by water taxis are the only forms of transportation. The main attraction of Tortuguero is Tortuguero National Park, which is a haven for turtles. This area is replete with canals and jungles that contain other species of wildlife such as monkeys and jaguars. Go on a night boat tour and see if you can get a glimpse of various nocturnal creatures. There are a number of eco lodges along the shore that you can stay at, looking out at the Pacific Ocean. With no traffic and unique civilization, Tortuguero is a destination that the whole family would be sure to remember.
